eBay will be launching their keyword advertising system that enables eBay sellers to promote their auctions on other websites.
To be called eBay AdContext, contextual ads for currently auctioned items will appear on web publisher’s sites based on the keywords on the webpage. Since auction inventory changes constantly, ads deliver the new products or services available for sale only. Publishers will receive a cut of between 40%-70% of the auction’s sales, depending on volumes.
This would certainly be a welcome addition to the contextual advertising market.

Still in beta, MSN AdLab offers a wide variety of great keyword tools for advertisers and marketers alike.
11 demos of MSN AdLab tools are currently available in the categories of Paid Search, Contextual Advertising, Behavior Targeting, and Emerging Markets with more coming later.
Some of the most useful features include Keyword Mutation Detection (for misspellings), Search Funnel (for most probable user search behaviors), and Search Volume Seasonality Forecast (for seasonal search trends).
Local businesses can benefit from their Local Search Tool which automatically detects a user’s current location by their IP address and then displays relevant local ads based on their location. The local search function currently only works for Seattle, Redmond, Bellevue and Kirkland.
